Preparation
The following documentation assumes that the Teams Chat Exporter has been installed correctly. Please follow our Video tutorial
[Admin] Release workflows
After the initial installation of the Teams Chat Exporter, it may be necessary to initially release the workflows for employees in the company.
Navigate to make.powerautomate.com and log in with your Microsoft account.
On the left-hand side, select "My Flows".
Then carry out the following steps for both "Teams Exporter - Export chat" and "Teams Exporter - Export channel chat".

Clicking on the workflow title takes you to the following view.
Scroll down a little until you only see "Run only users" and click on "Edit".

Here you can control for which users the workflow is available. You can also specify groups and use groups such as "All Company" to make the workflow available to everyone.
Confirm this by clicking on "Save".
Repeat the step for both workflows.
It can then take one to two hours until the workflow is available for everyone.

[Admin] Release app
After installing the Teams Chat Exporter for the first time, it is necessary to initially release the app for employees in the company.
Navigate to make.powerapps.com and log in with your Microsoft account.
Select "Apps" on the left-hand side.
Then press the three dots -> Share -> Share in the "Teams Chat Exporter" app

In the following dialogue, you can select who should have access to the Exporter app.
You can also use a group here again and make the app available to the entire company.

[Admin] Add app to teams
On make.powerapps.com you can make the app available for users in Teams under Apps -> Teams Chat Exporter -> 3 points -> Share -> Add to Teams.
Click through the dialogues as shown.



[User] Initialise app
The end user can open the shared app in their Teams by selecting the three dots in the module bar on the left-hand side and then selecting the Teams Chat Exporter.

If the end user of the exporter in Microsoft Teams has never used a workflow function before, it must be activated for the first time.
The first step is to open any chat and click on the plus button (1) and then on Add workflows (2).

Confirm the subsequent dialogue with "Add".
